Hermitage, Va. Randolph to sell student-grown plants Dec.11-13

Want to decorate for the holidays on a budget? You may want to visit two plant sales planned this week by Henrico County schools.
The horticulture programs at the Academy at Virginia Randolph and the ACE Center at Hermitage both will hold sales of student-grown plants.
The Academy at Virginia Randolph Poinsettia Sale will take place Dec. 11 and 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, at the school's greenhouses, 2204 Mountain Road in Glen Allen.
Five-inch poinsettias will be $4, 6.5-inch poinsettias $8 and 8-inch poinsettias $15.

The ACE Center at Hermitage Holiday Plant Sale will take place Dec. 12 and 13, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
Poinsettias (6.5 inches) will be $7; 6.5-inch jumbo-sized potted amaryllis will be $15; 4.5-inch Christmas cactus will be $4; and fresh green wreaths, swags and more will be priced at $15 and up. Poinsettia varieties include jingle bells, prestige red, maran, Polly’s pink and snowcap. All poinsettias and amaryllis are wrapped in foil.
The ACE Center at Hermitage's greenhouse building is located at 8301 Hungary Spring Road.
