Hermitage ACE Center earns HVAC accreditation

Table of Contents

The Hermitage Advanced Career Education Center recently earned HVAC Excellence certification, becoming one of just three high school programs in Virginia to hold such a designation.

The center, under the leadership of Duane Renick, underwent a full day programmatic accreditation certification process Oct. 22.

The process identifies HVAC educational programs that possess the resources, and administrative support, to prepare students for entry-level positions in the HVAC industry. Programmatic accreditation is an independent, non-governmental, third-party review of an educational program.

Accreditation standards require a thorough examination of: mission of program, administrative responsibilities, finances and funds, student services, instruction design and program elements, physical facilities, equipment and tools, cooperative training and instructor qualifications.
