Henrico’s sixth fatal crash in 16 days kills 46-year-old on moped

Another fatal crash – Henrico’s sixth in just 16 days – left a 46-year-old county man dead on Halloween.
Just before 8:30 p.m., a moped driven by Dhana Bahadur Tamang traveling north on Parham Road entered an intersection near Bronwood Road and Lawndell Road during a red light and collided with a GMC Terrain.
Tamang was ejected and died at the scene.
The northbound lanes of Parham Road were closed, and traffic detoured while police investigated and worked to clear the scene. Speed and alcohol were not deemed to be factors in the crash, but the incident remains under investigation.
