Henrico County's 7-day positivity percentage has decreased substantially, dropping from 7.1% Aug. 15 to 6.3% Aug. 16, the most recent date for which the data is available from the Virginia Department of Health. The figure is expected to continue decreasing, as new COVID-19 cases are down in the county.
Henrico also passed the 70,000-mark for PCR testing, with the results from 692 PCR tests (which detect the active presence of the virus) having been recorded since yesterday morning.
In total, the VDH reported 22 new cases of COVID-19 in Henrico County Thursday, as well as one hospitalization and the death of someone in his or her 70s.
