Henrico County reported 126 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, an increase from the double-digits of new cases it saw during the past three days, according to the Virginia Department of Health. The seven-day moving average reached 105 cases.

Despite reporting no new virus-related deaths, the county reported seven new hospitalizations related to the virus, the highest report this week, according the VDH data.

As of Feb. 12, Henrico County's positivity rate among both PCR and rapid tests continues to decline, according to VDH data. Among PCR testing encounters, the county’s seven-day positivity percentage was 8.9 percent, while the rapid testing rate was down to 6.8 percent. These percentages intentionally lag behind a few days to include the most data as possible.

Henrico County has administered over 55,000 vaccines so far, according to the VDH. More than 13,000 Henricoans have been fully vaccinated, receiving both doses necessary for full inoculation.

Almost 1.5 million vaccines have been administered in the state of Virginia, according to VDH data. The average amount of doses administered each day continues to decline, reaching 33,959 on Wednesday.

There were no new outbreaks reported on Wednesday, but outbreak-related incidents continue to grow, surpassing 3,300 cases according to the VDH. Almost 1,100 healthcare workers in Henrico have contracted the virus.

Also Wednesday, Gov. Ralph Northam announced that the state's new COVID-19 call center had opened. People can call 1-877-VAX-IN-VA to pre-register for the COVID-19 vaccine or to ask questions in English, Spanish or any of 100 languages.

Tuesday, the state unveiled its new statewide pre-registration site, http://vaccinate.virginia.gov, that allows Virginians to enter themselves into a system that will then contact them when they are eligible to be vaccinated.
