Henrico County’s 7-day COVID-19 positivity percentage remained near its all-time low as of Sept. 25, the most recent reporting date for the metric. It rose just slightly from 3.3% Sept. 24 to 3.4% the following day.

During the seven-day period from Sept. 19-25, the VDH reported an average of 949 testing encounters among Henricoans, resulting in an average of about 32 positive testing encounters per day during that period, according to the VDH.

The county witnessed 26 new cases today, according to the VDH, increasing its total number to 5,478 since the pandemic began. The agency also reported four new COVID-related hospitalizations among Henricoans Tuesday and the death of county resident over the age of 80 from the virus.

On Monday, the VDH reported that Henrico had “-1” new cases of COVID. The Citizen has inquired about what that number actually means and will update this article when VDH officials provide that information.
