Henrico’s 7-day COVID-19 positivity percentage fell again to another all-time low – 3.2% – as of Sept. 22, the most recent date for which that information is available. The state average is 4.8%.
Henrico’s average has fallen by nearly half in a week; it was 6.3% Sept. 16.
The county is averaging 30 new cases a day during the most recent 7-day period, according to data from the Virginia Department of Health. The VDH reported 35 new cases in Henrico during its Saturday morning update, bringing the county’s total during the pandemic to 5,434.
Henrico now has surpassed the 100,000 testing-encounter plateau, reaching 100,354 with the addition of 786 new encounters that were reported to have occurred Sept. 25.
