Henrico's 7-day COVID-19 positivity percentage continues to decline, reaching a new all-time low of 3.4% as of Sept. 21, the most recent date for which the data is available. That was more than one full percent lower than the county’s previous record low before this week.
Henrico has reported 28 new cases of COVID-19 since Thursday, for a total of 5,399 cases during the pandemic. Three COVID-related hospitalizations and the death of someone over the age of 80 from COVID-19 in Henrico also were reported Friday by the Virginia Department of Health.
The county is approaching the 100,000 mark for testing encounters, with just more than 99,000 reported as of Friday.
