Henrico's 7-day COVID positivity percentage climbs to 7.8%

The Virginia Department of Health reported 95 new cases of COVID-19 in Henrico Dec. 4, along with seven new COVID-related hospitalizations. The county has surpassed the 8,700-mark in total confirmed cases, and its' 7-day positivity percentage jumped to 7.8% as of Nov. 30. That's still lower than the state's level of 9.5%.
Following several days of declining numbers of testing encounters counts, the number reported Friday in Henrico was back up a bit – to 1,253. Nearly 165,000 PCR tests now have been conducted in Henrico, ranking the county third among state localities.
