Henrico woman crowned Miss Greater Richmond

Henrico resident Davina Seoparsan, a senior at the University of Virginia and a former student at Short Pump Middle School and J.R. Tucker High School, won the title of Miss Greater Richmond last month. The Miss Greater Richmond Scholarship Program is a preliminary pageant in the Miss America system.

Seoparsan will be competing with other women from across the state for the title of Miss Virginia June 17-23 in Lynchburg on the campus of Liberty University. The winner will compete for the title of Miss America in September in Atlantic City, N.J.

Seoparsan's platform is “Bullying, Depression & Suicide Prevention” and her talent is Caribbean dance. She will be graduating from the University of Virginia in May with a major in government and a minor in leadership. She plans to continue her education following graduation to one day become a juvenile domestic attorney and a motivational speaker.
