Henrico water main break affecting traffic near St. Mary's Hospital

A water main break near Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital is affecting traffic in the area Thursday morning.
Henrico crews are responding to a broken water main near the intersection of Monument Avenue and Bremo Road, which has forced the closure of Monument to westbound traffic between Bremo and Devers roads.
The incident is affecting water supply for about 40 customers in the immediate vicinity but is not impacting St. Mary's Hospital, which has water, according to county officials.
Repairs should be completed by Thursday evening, at which time all affected customers should have full water service, and the lane on Monument should be reopened, Henrico Public Utilities Director Bentley Chan told the Citizen.
