Henrico to host Feb. 15 meeting about safety, mobility improvements to Shady Grove, Old Nuckols roads

Henrico County officials will host a meeting Feb. 15 at Short Pump Middle School to discuss safety and mobility improvements to Shady Grove Road and Old Nuckols Road, west of Twin Hickory and east of Wyndham. The meeting will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the school, 4701 Pouncey Tract Road.
As part of the effort, the county is planning to build accommodations to improve pedestrian access and safety in the corridor. The $2-million project is expect to begin in the spring, but first officials want to receive input about:
- evaluating and designing bicycle and pedestrian improvements along Shady Grove Road from Nuckols Road to Old Nuckols Road and on Old Nuckols Road from Shady Grove Road to Lenmore Drive;
- evaluating and designing a roundabout at the intersection of Shady Grove Road and Old Nuckols Road;
- evaluating improvements to pedestrian signals at signalized intersections.
