Henrico ties all-time record for COVID cases in a single day

Henrico County Monday tied its all-time single-day high for new COVID-19 cases with 81, according to the Virginia Department of Health. The news comes after just 67 new cases were reported in the county this weekend.
A total of six new virus-related hospitalizations have been reported in Henrico since Saturday – three that day and three Monday.
Henrico is now averaging about 49 new cases per day during the past seven days; Monday’s figure increased that number by about seven, from 42 Sunday. It peaked at 55 Nov. 11.
The county’s total number of confirmed cases since the pandemic began is up to 7,281.
Henrico’s 7-day positivity percentage, which intentionally lags several days behind, had decreased as of Nov. 12 to 5.9%
