The Henrico Board of Supervisors May 23 directed county staffers to review possible improvements to Magellan Parkway and extensions of Lambert Way and Liesfeld Farm Drive.

The improvements to Magellan Parkway would focus on its I-95 crossing. The extension of Woodman Road is Phase II of the Lambert Way project, meant to expand the road between I-295 and Route 1. The federal government authorized a $5 million grant for the project earlier this year, and it will be named for the late Police Captain Don Lambert, killed in a hit-and-run crash in 2021.

The Liesfeld Farm Drive project focuses on improvements at its intersection with North Gayton Road, including a roundabout and an 800-foot extension of the road.

Reports to the board on these projects are scheduled for a public hearing June 27.
