Table of Contents

The Henrico County Board of Supervisors will meet twice Tuesday, May 28. First, during a 4 p.m. work session in the County Manager’s Conference Room at the Henrico County Government Center, the board will hear updates about public works projects, Phase 1 of the Henrico Comprehensive Plan update and information about "Girls for a Change."

The second session, set to begin at 6 p.m. in the Henrico County Government Center Board Room, will include consideration of various ordinances and issues. Supervisors are expected to approve the expansion from $500,000 to $1 million of the county's business license tax threshold, meaning all businesses that make less than $1 million annually will not be required to pay the tax, and those that make more than that amount annually will only pay taxes on the amount over $1 million. Supervisors also plan to expand the Real Estate Cap, or RECAP, program by increasing the gross combined income limit from $105,000 to $125,000 and the net combined financial worth limit from $700,000 to $750,000 as part of a chance that would take effect Jan. 1, 2025. The board also will consider awarding nearly $2 million in contracts.

Members of the public who wish to attend in person or via livestream can find more information on the Henrico County website.
