Henrico supervisors to discuss affordable housing, East End landfill, new funding for homelessness services April 23

The Henrico County Board of Supervisors will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, April 23. The first of two sessions (a work session) will take place at 3:45 p.m. in the County Manager’s Conference Room at the Henrico County Government Center. It will include updates on the county’s affordable housing efforts, planned improvements to the interchange of North Gayton Road and I-64, and a lawsuit filed against the county after it denied permits for the East End Landfill.

The second session will be at 6 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Room. Topics will include: changing the boundaries of Henrico Enterprise Zone, which allows businesses to receive state and county development incentives; approximately $800,000 in new funding for homelessness services; and a proposed expansion of the threshhold at which Henrico businesses must pay business license taxes from $500,000 to $1 million in annual revenue.
