Henrico supervisors set three public hearings, approve truck rental facility

Table of Contents

The Henrico Board of Supervisors March 11 approved a truck rental and maintenance facility at the intersection of Mechanicsville Turnpike and St. Claire Lane.

A new, 20,000-square-foot building no more than 50 feet high is slated for construction at the site. The developer has indicated there would be future commercial development on the site as well, with options including restaurants, retail, or a data center, though there are no specific plans or timeline for them.

Any restaurant or retail would be no more than 10,000 square feet in size.

The board also scheduled three public hearings related to taxes, fees, and county spending:

• on March 25, a hearing on the FY26 proposed budget, which is posted online for public review at https://henrico.gov/budget/proposed-budgets;

• on April 8, a hearing on Calendar Year 2025 proposed tax rates and levies (the current tax schedule is posted online at https://henrico.gov/finance/approved-tax-fee-and-schedule/);

• also on April 8, a public hearing to discuss whether to increase water and sewer charges as of July 1 (for the average user, this would increase their fees by about $8 every two months, or $0.12 cents a day).
