The Henrico County Board of Supervisors July 25 adopted a resolution expressing appreciation to Korean War veterans.

“It is so important for us to acknowledge and dignify our veterans,” Fairfield Supervisor Frank Thornton said, addressing his fellow board members and several veterans in attendance.  “It is because of them that we are able to do our day-to-day things and I think we should never forget what many of them have experienced and have sacrificed.”

“Keep doing what you’re doing, keep reaching out. Keep looking back, bring history forward,” said one veteran whose father had served in the Korean War.
