The program, which replicates a teenager's bedroom, will show families how alcohol and drugs can be easily hidden. The session will also include information about how to prevent risky behaviors and how to respond when a drug-related crisis occurs. Families also will have the opportunity to learn about the use of Narcan, a medication that can potentially save lives in the event of an overdose. The training program will teach attendees how to safely and effectively use the medication.

The Hidden in Plain Sight event is an educational opportunity for families and community members to learn about the risks of drug abuse and how to take steps to prevent it. Another installment of the event will be held at Varina High School Tuesday, April 30.
