Henrico County this week has witnessed its most new COVID-19 cases among county residents during a two-day period since the pandemic began.
The county reported 80 new cases Tuesday, a day after tying its all-time single-day record of 81. Henrico’s trend matches that of the state, which also has seen its highest-ever two-day total this week (4,802 new cases).
Henrico’s average daily case count during the past seven days rose to 54 Tuesday, just one shy of its all-time high. The Virginia Department of Health also reported the death of one county resident older than 80.
Henrico's 7-day positivity percentage has increased, reaching 6.2% as of Nov. 13, the most recent date on record for that metric.
