Henrico Schools, VDH to host 4 free vaccination clinics for students

Table of Contents

The clinics will be held from 9 a.m. to noon:

June 17 at Fairfield Middle School;• June 24 at Henrico High School;• June 26 at Quioccasin Middle School;• July 10 at Elko Middle School.

Students who are entering seventh or 12th grade can get free vaccinations at any of the four clinics to meet school attendance requirements, regardless of their insurance status. Registration is available to guarantee an appointment time, but walk-ins are welcome as resources allow. Virginia requires students to be immunized against various illnesses to attend school for the 2024-25 school year.

Depending upon their age and grade, students can visit the clinics to get vaccinated for diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis; meningococcal conjugate; and human papillomavirus.

A parent or legal guardian must accompany each student, and each student should have an ID and insurance information, if available.

Immunization requirements for 2024-25 school attendance include the MenACWY vaccine (for students entering seventh and 12th grades); and the Tdap vaccine (for students entering seventh grade who are 11 or older).

Students ages 11 or older may receive the HPV vaccine, but it is not required for school attendance.
