Table of Contents

If you're interested in becoming a teacher, Henrico Schools officials want to meet with you.

Officials from the school system will host a teacher licensure information session Jan. 28 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Eastern Government Center, 3820, Nine Mile Road. Interested potential teachers who have a bachelor's or master's degree or who are currently pursuing one are invited to attend. Anyone with a degree in math, science, world languages or English may be eligible to earn a teaching license immediately, according to school system officials.

Representatives from career-switcher programs will be in attendance to answer questions and talk with attendees about the various routes to teacher licensure. To register for the event, visit https://tinyurl.com/y7ulzcds.

For details, contact Shelby Elliott at 804-652-3429 or sgelliott@henrico.k12.va.us.

Anyone who is currently in a teacher prep program should not attend the meeting but instead should attend the annual HCPS Teacher Hiring Event March 2 at Glen Allen High School. More information about that event will be made public soon, according to school officials.
