Henrico Schools to host job fair on Halloween

Henrico Schools officials will host a job fair at the new Fairfield Area Library on Halloween, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The school system is seeking candidates for bus drivers, school nutrition workers and substitute teachers, as well as for custodial roles in part-time, full-time and substitute positions. There is a particular need for full-time and temporary instructional assistants, as well as teachers in critical areas such as special education, Spanish, math, technology, family and consumer sciences, and career and technical education.

Qualified bus driver candidates will be paid as they train. Candidates for full-time and substitute bus drivers must: be at least 21 years old; have a valid Virginia driver’s license; obtain a CDL Class B instructional permit or hold a CDL Class B license with endorsements in P (Transporting Passengers)/S (School Bus) and airbrakes; pass a physical and drug test and have no felony convictions.
