Henrico Schools to host job fair May 16

Henrico County Public Schools will hold a job fair from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., May 16 at the Eastern Henrico Government Center, 3820 Nine Mile Road, to talk with candidates for a number of positions. Full-time and substitute positions are available. Openings include those for:

• Bus drivers
• School nutrition workers
• School nurses (RN/LPN and substitutes)
• Instructional assistants
• Custodians
• Construction and Maintenance staff members (equipment operators,
plumbers and HVAC technicians)

Representatives from the HCPS Human Resources Department, as well as departmental representatives, will attend the event at the Eastern Henrico Government Center. The job fair for bus driver candidates will take place in the building’s Community Room; the event for other positions will take place in the center’s Multipurpose Room.

Don’t know how to drive a bus? Qualified bus driver candidates will be paid while they train.

Candidates for full-time and substitute bus drivers must: be at least 21 years old; have a valid Virginia driver’s license; obtain a CDL Class B instructional permit or hold a CDL Class B license with endorsements in P (Transporting Passengers)/S (School Bus) and airbrakes; pass a physical and drug test and have no felony convictions.
