Henrico County Public Schools officials will host a job fair Aug. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Eastern Henrico Recreation Center, 1440 North Laburnum Avenue, to speak with candidates for positions as bus drivers, school nutrition workers and teachers in critical areas such as English, Spanish, math, technology, family and consumer sciences and special education.
Attendees will be able to talk with HCPS human resources representatives, as well as representatives from other departments.
Officials also will be seeking temporary instructional assistants and temporary teachers and instructional assistants for the school system's extended-day program.

Qualified bus driver candidates will be paid as they train. Candidates for full-time and substitute bus drivers must: be at least 21 years old; have a valid Virginia driver’s license; obtain a CDL Class B instructional permit or hold a CDL Class B license with endorsements in P (Transporting Passengers)/S (School Bus) and airbrakes; pass a physical and drug test and have no felony convictions.
