Henrico Schools to host Jan. 11 job fair

Henrico Schools will host a job fair Jan. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tuckahoe Area Library to speak with candidates for positions as bus driver, school nutrition staff member, substitute teacher and temporary instructional assistant.
In accordance with Henrico County policy, attendees must wear a mask to the event.
The library is located at 1901 Starling Drive.
The school division is offering newly hired bus drivers a bonus of as much as $2,000, paid in installments throughout the year, once they are hired. HCPS also has offered new safe driver and attendance incentives to drivers already on staff.
Qualified driver candidates will be paid as they train.
Candidates for full-time and substitute bus drivers must: be at least 21 years old; have a valid Virginia driver’s license; be able to obtain a CDL Class B instructional permit or hold a CDL Class B license with endorsements in P (Transporting Passengers)/S (School Bus) and airbrakes; pass a physical and a drug test. Depending on the situation, candidates with felony convictions may be eligible for employment.
