Table of Contents

The school system will host a March 12 job fair, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the HCPS Parham Road office at 1910 East Parham Road; an educator job fair and interview day March 20, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Highland Springs High School, 200 South Airport Drive; and a school nutrition services job fair March 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 10600 Gayton Road.

The first event will provide attendees with opportunities to learn about a variety of positions, from custodial and maintenance spots to school nurse and teacher positions.

The second event will allow applicants the chance to interview for teacher positions for the 2024-25 school year in all content areas, as well as for positions as librarians, school counselors, psychologists, social workers and school nurses. Apply by March 8 at www.henricoschools.us/article/1386023.

The third event will offer information specifically about school nutrition positions.  HCPS is offering newly hired bus drivers a bonus of up to $3,000, paid in installments throughout the year, when they join the transportation team. HCPS also offers safe driver and attendance incentives to drivers already on staff. Extended full-time contracts are available for drivers who wish to work during summer school. Qualified driver candidates will be paid as they train. Candidates for full-time and substitute bus drivers must: be at least 21 years old; have a valid Virginia driver’s license; be able to obtain a CDL Class B instructional permit or hold a CDL Class B license with endorsements in P/S (Passenger Transportation/School Bus) and airbrakes; and pass a physical and a drug test.
