Henrico Schools officials will dedicate two new Advanced Career Education facilities this month, celebrating expanded opportunities for students to pursue career and technical education studies.

The new facilities, one at Hermitage High School and one at Highland Springs High, will provide students with as many as 1,000 potential new slots to take courses in areas such as auto body repair, veterinary science, cyber security, and physical therapy.

The ACE Center at Hermitage, located at 8350 Hungary Spring Road, is a new freestanding facility. The ACE Center at Highland Springs, at 100 Tech Drive, was renovated and expanded from the former Highland Springs High School building when the new HSHS was constructed next door.

A dedication ceremony at the Highland Springs ACE Center will take place Feb. 21 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., while the one at Hermitage ACE Center will take place Feb. 27 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The construction of the facilities was part of the school division's capital improvement program. A renovation and expansion of the ACE Center at the Campus of Virginia Randolph is expected to be completed in fall 2024.
