Henrico Schools to conduct stakeholder survey March 11-29

Table of Contents

Henrico County Public Schools officials, in partnership with a VCU research team, will conduct a survey about the school system and individual schools March 11-29. Parents, guardians, staff members and students will be invited to participate and share thoughts.

The survey is designed to give the school division an idea of what it is doing well and what can be improved, according to HCPS officials. The information will be used to help make decisions about school programs and the allocation of resources and staff. It also will give school system leaders an indication of the division's progress on achieving the goals outlined in the division’s 2018-25 Strategic Plan.

The survey will have three versions: one for staff members, one for students in grades 5-12 and one for parents and guardians. Staff and students will complete theirs during the school day, while parents and guardians will receive an email March 11 with a link to the survey. The survey should take about 15-20 minutes to complete.

Participants have until March 29 to complete the survey, which will be available in multiple languages (including Spanish at http://henricoschools.us/encuesta/).

The survey is being conducted by Henrico Schools’ Department of Assessment, Research and Evaluation in collaboration with the Metropolitan Educational Research Consortium at VCU’s School of Education.
