Henrico Schools sets up mobile hubs at four schools to provide internet access

Table of Contents

Henrico County Public Schools officials are setting up mobile technology hubs at four high schools to provide students and staff members with internet access and to repair or exchange laptops for students.

The sites are Deep Run, Freeman, Hermitage and Highland Springs high schools, and technology vans will be outside each one from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 on weekdays through March 27.

Officials also will distribute as many as 400 wife hot spot devices to students who don’t have internet access at home. Students had to sign up for the devices previously, because they are limited in number.

Comcast also is offering two free months of home internet service to low-income families who qualify for the company’s “Internet Essentials” service. You can learn more about the offer here.
