Henrico Schools postponed a number of events scheduled to take place this month in light of the COVID-19 virus and has rescheduled some of them.
The countywide ARTS Festival, originally planned March 14-15 at Deep Run High School, instead will take place May 2 at the school from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Early learning preschool recruiting events scheduled for March 17, 23 and 30 have been rescheduled as part of a new set of dates:
• April 14 from 4-6 p.m. at Sandston Elementary School.
• April 17 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at New Bridge Learning Center Auditorium.
• April 21 from 4-6 p.m. at Longan Elementary School.
• April 23 from 4-6 p.m. at Crestview Elementary School.
• April 27 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at New Bridge Learning Center Auditorium.
• April 28 from 4-6 p.m. at Johnson Elementary School.
• April 30 from 4-6 p.m. at Dumbarton Elementary School.
• May 5 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at New Bridge Learning Center Auditorium.
• May 6 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at New Bridge Learning Center Auditorium.
Also, the school redistricting committee's joint meeting scheduled for March 18 at Henrico High School will be rescheduled for an as-yet-undetermined date.
The Family Learning Series workshops planned for March 18 and 25 have been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
Information sessions about the proposed 2021-22 calendar scheduled for March 16, 19 and 24 will be rescheduled at a later date.
