Henrico Schools report 23 COVID cases in facilities so far in December

Henrico County Public Schools officials have reported 23 new cases of COVID-19 at 20 Henrico schools and facilities so far in December.
Those cases included three at Johnson Elementary School – each reported Dec. 9 (two among people last on campus Dec. 4, the other last on campus Dec. 2) and two at Holman Middle School Dec. 1 (unrelated to each other, according to officials).
The new cases bring the total number reported at HCPS facilities to 112 at 56 different facilities since Aug. 12. The cases reported in December were the first reported so far at six facilities – Adams Elementary, Colonial Trail Elementary, Dumbarton Elementary, Harvie Elementary, Laburnum Elementary and Longan Elementary.
To date, the most cases at any single site is four; the Eastern Government Center, Elko Middle School, Freeman High School, Johnson Elementary School, Glen Allen High School, Hermitage High School and Seven Pines Elementary School each have reported that many cases.
