Henrico County Public Schools officials are seeking nominations from the public for the division’s “Yay of the Day” initiative, which is designed to recognize HCPS employees who are making positive impacts in big or small ways.

Starting in January, the division will resume the program, which it started last school year. Anyone can nominate an HCPS employee by completing a form here. Videos of presentations to employees last year also are housed on the page.

Each of the recipients will be recognized by Superintendent Amy Cashwell and will be featured on HCPS’s social media platforms.

“This is a small way to shine a light on the good work our employees do each day,” said Cashwell. “We have more than 7,000 talented employees who work together to serve and support our students. No matter how busy the school year is, we must make time to celebrate the many ways they are making a difference for young people.”
