Henrico County Public Schools’ Department of Workforce and Career Development will host another of its Life-Ready Expo events Tuesday, Feb. 23, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. virtually. The event will involve industrial and engineering technology employers and will offer students and their families the chance to learn about the industries and possible career paths.

Students who like to figure out how things work, work with their hands, use problem-solving abilities to design and build, drive or fix vehicles or use math skills (among other interests) may find the event of particular interest.

Business and community partners from the fields of architecture and construction; manufacturing; science, technology, engineering and math; and transportation, distribution and logistics will attend.

Students in grades 7 -12 and their families will have the opportunity to talk virtually with employers to learn about career opportunities for students, the corresponding educational requirements, compensation, as well as ask questions.

Student registration is not required. The virtual event will be conducted using Microsoft Teams. Attendees can take part using a browser without creating a Teams account from their computer or mobile phone.
