Henrico Schools’ 2022 survey seeks stakeholder input

Table of Contents

Parents, guardians, students and staff members have a chance to provide input to Henrico County Public Schools officials through the school system’s 2022 survey, which is open now through April 1 at www.henricoschools.us/surveys.

The survey takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete, according to officials, and feedback provided through it will be used to help make decisions about programs, budgetary expenses and personnel in the future.

The results will help the division measure its progress in a range of areas related to the four cornerstones outlined in HCPS’ strategic plan, Destination 2025: The Plan for HCPS:

• safety and wellness;
• academic growth;
• equity and opportunity;
• relationships.

The school in each Henrico County magisterial district with the highest response rate will win professional development funds for its teachers, thanks to the Henrico Education Foundation. At least one participating family from each of the five magisterial districts also will be randomly selected for a prize bag from HCPS’ Department of Family and Community Engagement.

HCPS is conducting the survey with help from the Metropolitan Educational Research Consortium at VCU’s School of Education. Answers are anonymous and confidential, and the consortium will only report information to HCPS in summary form.

In addition to the email, a parent and guardian survey link will be available on the HCPS website through April 1.

Those needing a paper copy of the parent and guardian survey should contact their child’s school. The survey is available in English, Spanish, Arabic, Dari, Portuguese and Vietnamese. English and Spanish audio versions also are available.
