Henrico school bus driver charged after Thursday morning crash injures 2

One student and one adult were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries suffered when a Henrico school bus and a minivan crashed near the intersection of Harvie Road and Reynolds Road Thursday morning.

The crash happened at about 8:20 a.m. as the bus, transporting students to Wilder Middle School, turned left onto Harvie Road from Reynolds Road. The bus driver has been charged with failing to yield the right-of-way, according to Henrico Police.

Henrico Fire and EMS officials responded to the scene and evaluated each student on board. At the request of a parent, one student was taken to the hospital. The driver of the minivan also was hospitalized.
