Henrico Restaurant Week is coming back.

Following a post-pandemic hiatus, the popular dining experience will return April 28-May 4. The weeklong event, created and hosted by the Henrico Citizen, will benefit Safe Harbor shelter.

During the week, participating restaurants (to be announced later this spring) will offer special fixed-price three-course dinners and/or two-course lunches and will donate $1 from each HRW lunch and $3 from each HRW dinner to Safe Harbor, which supports survivors of sexual and domestic violence and human trafficking.

The Citizen created Henrico Restaurant Week in 2015 and it generated more than $20,000 in donations to its nonprofit partners during its first six iterations.

“We’re excited to bring back an event that the community supported so well during its first run,” Citizen Publisher Tom Lappas said. “We know what a foodie region this is, and how generous the Henrico community is. Henrico Restaurant Week offers a great chance to support local restaurants and a deserving nonprofit organization while enjoying great food and time with family and friends."

"We are thrilled to be the charity of choice for Henrico Restaurant Week in April," said Safe Harbor Development Director Mary Maupai.
