Henrico reports 52 new COVID cases, 7 new deaths

UPDATE: OCT. 30, 11:40 A.M. – The Citizen has learned that the seven deaths reported in Henrico Oct. 29, attributable to COVID-19, most likely did not occur in October, according to a Henrico Health Department official.Henrico County has reported 52 new cases of COVID-19 since yesterday for a total of 6,394, as well as seven deaths attributed to COVID-19; one person in his or her 40s, two in their 50s and four over the age of 80.It wasn't immediately clear when the deaths occurred; the Citizen has inquired with Virginia Department of Health officials for details.Henrico's 7-day average of new daily cases is up to nearly 43 as of Oct. 29, but its 7-day positivity percentage – which intentionally lags several days behind – continues to decrease, reaching 4.8% as of Oct. 25.
