Henrico County reported 102 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, as cases begin to level-out after last Friday's surge, according to the Virginia Department of Health. The seven-day moving average of new daily cases in Henrico continues to hover at about 139 daily cases.

Also Wednesday, the VDH reported two new hospitalizations and two new deaths in Henrico related to the virus, each total in-line with their seven-day daily moving averages.

Henrico County reported an average seven-day positivity rate of 9.4 percent among PCR tests as of Feb.6, one of the lowest rates since December, according to VDH data. The positivity rate among rapid tests has leveled-out to about 9.1 percent as of Feb. 6. This data lags behind a couple of days to include as many testing encounters as possible.

Almost 47,000 Henricoans have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccination so far, according to the VDH. Close to 9,000 in the county have been fully vaccinated, receiving both doses necessary for full inoculation.

The average doses administered each day in Virginia has begun to slow, reaching 33,520 daily, according to the VDH. More than 10 percent of Virginians have at least one dose of the vaccine thus far, with more than 1.1 million vaccines administered since December.

The county outbreak count has remained at 160, but outbreak-related cases continue to climb, reaching 3,279, according to the VDH. Colleges and universities have now reported more outbreaks than healthcare settings in the state of Virginia. Long-term care facilities, correctional facilities and congregate settings still lead the state in outbreaks.
