Only 20 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Henrico during the past 24 hours – the county's lowest total in a one-day span in more than two weeks. Eight hospitalizations and no new deaths also were reported in the latest update provided by the Virginia Department of Health.
Henrico's 7-day positivity percentage rose slightly to 7.6% as of Aug. 8, the most recent day for which the information is available. A total of nearly 65,000 PCR tests now have been conducted on Henrico residents, and about 6.1% of them have been positive.
