Henrico project to benefit from affordable housing loan

Carter Woods IV in Eastern Henrico County will be among 49 projects statewide to benefit from Affordable and Special Needs Housing loans recently announced by the Office of the Governor.Funding for Carter Woods IV, a Better Housing Coalition community, amounts to $700,000. The Carter Woods community, built in three phases to date, is located on Dabbs House Road. It includes housing for seniors 62 and older.
ASNH loans are awarded through a competitive process. Funding will support new construction and rehabilitation of more than 3,200 affordable and special needs housing units statewide; the funded projects will leverage over $992 million in additional federal, state, local and private lending resources.
