Henrico County Public Schools will host a series of Preschool Recruiting Events in March for families interested in the school division’s Early Learning Preschool for 2020-21. Early Learning Preschool is designed to provide a high-quality preschool environment for children who live in Henrico County and who will be four years old by Sept. 30, 2020.
Interested parents and guardians should submit a pre-application online at henricoschools.us/preschool, then complete the paper application (which can be obtained at a preschool recruiting event or at the child's home school). The events will take place March 17 (9 a.m.- 2 p.m.) at Eastern Henrico Recreation Center, 1440 N Laburnum Ave.; March 23 (9 a.m.-2 p.m.) at New Bridge Learning Center Auditorium, 5915 Nine Mile Road; and March 30 (1-4 p.m.) at Springfield Park Elementary School, 4301 Fort McHenry Parkway. Spanish and Arabic interpreters will be present at the events.
If parent or guardians cannot attend a preschool recruiting event, they can email preschool@henrico.k12.va.us to schedule an appointment once all required documents are prepared. Children are not admitted on a first-come, first-served basis, and are not guaranteed acceptance into the program. Henrico County Public Schools encourages families of children with special needs to apply; if children require special accommodations, families should notify school staff members when scheduling the appointment.
