Henrico Police to host rabies clinic Aug. 17

Before seeing a veterinarian on the first level of the adjacent parking deck, pet owners must register and pay at the cashier's office in the Administration Building. Each vaccine costs $20 and must be paid in cash. A rabies tag and a certificate of inoculation will be included.
According to Virginia law, all dogs and cats four months and older must be vaccinated against rabies. Henrico County residents also may purchase dog licenses for $10 at the event. The licenses are valid for the life of the pet while the owner lives in Henrico and the pet's rabies vaccinations are kept up to date.
