Henrico Police seek tips in case involving dog in dumpster

Henrico Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the person or people responsible for the abuse of a Boston Terrier found in a dumpster the morning of Aug. 21 in the 1900 block of Betner Court in the Sandston Woods apartment complex in Sandston. Henrico Police Animal Control officials rescued the dog after receiving a call about it, but it was in poor condition and had to be euthanized at an emergency veterinary clinic shortly thereafter.

Officers believe the dog was dumped between Aug. 19 at 2 p.m. and Aug. 21 at 11 a.m.
