Henrico Police officials are seeking the public’s help to identify the suspects in a pickpocket incident that took place at a Short Pump grocery store Mar. 3.

At about 3:30 p.m. that day in the 11000 block of West Broad Street, the victim reported walking when the suspect in the case dropped something. The suspect picked up the item from near the victim’s feet and conversed with the victim, pretending to need help getting back up.

The victim later reported missing a wallet. The suspect or suspects later used the victim’s card to purchase thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise from another nearby retailer. A review of the surveillance footage showed a second suspect working with the first.
