Henrico Police detain Godwin HS student who made threats against school

A Godwin High School student threatened the safety of everyone at the school Nov. 29, and Henrico Police took the student into custody. The juvenile is likely to face a charge of making a threat to bomb or damage buildings or means of transportation, according to police.

The school went into a lock-and-teach mode after the threat was made, with Henrico officers and school personnel canvassing the premises until they located the suspected student.

Police did not release the identify of the teen, since he or she is a juvenile.
