Henrico Police are still looking for a man who went missing at about 7:40 a.m. Sept. 2 in Northern Henrico.

John L. Blanks, Jr. is a diabetic and was diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, police said. He left his residence in the 600 block of Elmfield Drive in Henrico wearing a burgundy hoodie, green cargo pants and white tennis shoes, and police are urging people in the areas of Azalea Avenue and Chamberlayne Road near the Henrico-Hanover line to be alert, check their properties and check home-based security cameras for any sign of Blanks.

Property owners should check outbuildings, under their decks and anywhere else a person could fit, police said.

He is 6' tall, weighs 190 pounds, and has brown hair and green eyes. He recently had a haircut and has salt-and-pepper hair with a scruff beard, as if he needs a shave, police said. He also is believed to be in need of medication.

If you see Blanks or know where he might be, call Henrico Police immediately at (804) 501-5000 or call 911.
