Henrico Police arrest, charge man in Jan. 23 shooting

Henrico Police arrested and charged a 28-year-old Richmond man with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection with a Jan. 23 shooting in northern Henrico that left a 29-year-old city man dead.
Anthony Ivory Cook, Jr. is being held without bond in the Henrico County jail after being charged in the shooting, which happened at about 6:30 p.m. along Delmont Street, between Laburnum Avenue and Crawford Street near Richmond Raceway.
When officers arrived, the victim, Dwight A. Hill, was in the roadway with multiple life-threatening wounds. He died at a hospital Feb. 7.
Detectives will be seeking additional charges for Cook's role in this incident, according to police.
