Henrico Police arrested and charged a 19-year-old county man in connection with a shooting that left two people injured Friday in the Near West End.

Police took Troy Eden Davis into custody and charged him with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, stemming from the shooting that took place shortly after 12:30 p.m., Dec. 11, just off Parham Road near Michael Road and Three Chopt Road.

The shooting caused a massive police presence and the temporary lockdown of several area schools as police – who warned citizens to lock their doors and stay inside – searched for suspects.

Both victims were taken to a hospital with critical injuries.

While one person is in custody, detectives are continuing to contact witnesses. Anyone who may have seen or heard anything related to the incident should call Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers at 780-1000 or submit a tip through http://www.p3tips.com.
