Henrico Police have arrested a 24-year-old county woman in connection with the hit-and-run incident that killed a 61-year-old man in Henrico’s Near West End Tuesday.
Ciera Hope Childress faces charges of not reporting an accident; possession of schedule I or II drugs; and driving while intoxicated (second offense within five years).
Several people sent in tips after the initial reports of the incident, according to police, and that helped officials make the arrest. Richmond Police officials also helped locate the suspect.
The victim in the crash, which occurred at about 9:20 a.m. near the intersection of Monument Avenue and Horsepen Road, was Thomas Sotos of Henrico.
